Our Story of Blessing and Purpose

Discover how three young men who received help in life decided to pass on their blessings, transforming it into a movement that's changing lives across Uganda since 2013

Saving Arms Nursery and Primary School

Founded on Gratitude and Grace

In 2013, Saving Arms International was born from the hearts of three vibrant young men—Kato Joseph, Wasswa Benon, and Kyambadde Elijah—who knew what it meant to be helped in life. Having experienced the transformative power of compassion and support in their own journeys, they made a powerful decision: to pass on the blessings they had received to the next generation.

Their vision began in the slums of Kampala, where they saw countless youth struggling without hope or opportunity. With nothing but determination and faith, they started encouraging these young people, showing them care, and doing everything possible to help them return to school. What began as grassroots outreach in the urban slums has now expanded to reach the remote regions of Karamoja.

Over 12 years later, Saving Arms International continues to grow—not just in size, but in impact. Today, our team of 25 dedicated staff members serves over 500 children across two regions: 200 in Kampala and 300 in Karamoja. Through school programs, church planting, young mothers ministry, and sustainable farming projects, we remain committed to breaking cycles of poverty and nurturing future leaders who will transform Uganda.
